Pricing: a done-for-you build, priced on your stack
Crewley is sold as a done-for-you build, not a self-serve checkout. Your practice management software stays where it is. Clinical records never leave it. What follows is what the build costs, what is included, and the exclusivity terms attached to it. What each agent does is set out on AI agents for opticians.
The done-for-you build
Setup runs £2,000 to £5,000, plus an ongoing retainer, scoped to your practice on the call after the audit and demo. There is no fixed list price because the quote follows what your audit actually finds: what your systems already do, where the gaps are, and how much of the existing Winstanley build can be reused rather than built from scratch. That reuse is why the price is a quote, not a guess: components proven at Winstanley & Son travel into your build already tested, so you are not paying to have the same mistakes made twice.
What is included
- The recall and response audit that led to the quote, and the finding it produced.
- A practice-specific configuration pass: your IDs, pipelines, channels, staff and facts, kept separate from the build itself.
- The install runbook: preflight, inactive import, live credential checks, fixture testing, staged activation.
- Monitoring from day one, including the standing watchdog and the fail-loud handling described on how it works.
- The compliance groundwork built for the Winstanley estate: a DPIA approach, a caller notice, a processor list and the data boundary documented, not assumed.
Area exclusivity
Crewley works with one practice per area. Exclusivity is guaranteed six months at a time, and renews for as long as you remain a client. Once your area is taken, it stays taken. A head office without a franchise: ownership and profits stay entirely with your practice, without a share of profits or a ceiling on your independence in exchange for it.
Coming later: Crewley-in-a-box
A lighter, subscription tier, priced at £197 to £497 a month, is planned for practices below the size that justifies a full done-for-you build. It is not available yet. It launches only once the done-for-you build has proven itself across several practices, so that what ships in a subscription is components already reused and reliable, not a first attempt at packaging.
Why a quote, not a price list
A practice already close to what Winstanley & Son runs, on similar systems, needs less new build and reused, proven components; a practice starting further back costs more to bring level. You see the audit finding before you see a figure, so the quote is explainable line by line rather than handed down.
Questions before you book
What if the audit finds nothing worth fixing?
Then you get a clean bill of health and no quote follows. The audit is free either way, and finding nothing is a genuinely possible outcome, not a sales technique.
Do I own what gets built?
Yes. Ownership, independence and the profit from your practice stay entirely with you. That is the point of the franchise flip: a head office of agents without a franchise's share of profits or ceiling on independence in exchange for it.
What happens to my area once I sign?
It is reserved. Crewley works with one practice per area, and your exclusivity is guaranteed six months at a time, renewing for as long as you remain a client.
Can I see it running before I commit to a build?
Yes. The case study is ungated, the demo step shows a working fix on your own stack where possible, and you are welcome to stand in the practice it runs in and watch it operate.
